Moringa cultivation-Fertilization recommendations

Moringa cultivation Fertilization Recommendations

Fertilizer  and irrigation are recommended for maximum moinga productivity.

While  planting moringa tree

Addition of 300 g (10.5 oz) of complete fertilizeror

0.5–2 kg

(1.1–4.4 lb) of manure .

Positive yield response has been reported at N fertilization
rates as high as 350 kg N per ha (312 lb N/ac).

While Pinching (Nearly 75 days after sowing)

Nitrogen @ 44g / tree

Ring trenches are dug about 10 cm from trees during the rainy season and filled with green leaves, manure and ash, and then covered with soil. This is said to promote higher fruit yields.

Spray application of GA3 @ 20 ppm on 90th day of sowing is said to increase all the pod characters, such as length, specific gravity, number of seeds, flesh content and pulp, more than untreated check.

Trees have  been reported to benefit from integrated (organic + synthetic) fertilization. Seedlings should be pinched at 1 m (3.3 ft)  tall or 2 months after planting to stimulate side branching.

Moringa Cultivation spacing

Moringa Cultivation-Spacing

Spacing between moringa trees can varied depending upon our production expectation.  Following are  commonly  recommended spacing between moringa plants

Moringa plants spacing

For leaf production  moringa spacing-

0.75 m (30 in) within rows and 1 m (3.3 ft) between rows

0.75 m x 1 m

For pod production moringa spacing

2.5 m × 2.5 m (8.2 ft × 8.2 ft).

Moringa Oleifera variety from pure line breeding program ensures HIGHEST PRODUCTIVITY & drought-tolerance, growing typically in tropical regions that can begrown in varied types of soils.  AGF Moringa PKM1 bears the best of all moringa traits and is evolved through pure line selection that is why AGF Moringa PKM1is being world leader in large scale moringa plantations for fresh fruit production.
